Hear You Rise Foundation
The Hear You Rise Foundation is dedicated to making a profound difference in the lives of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Our mission revolves around five key initiatives: offering scholarships, providing job opportunities, preventing discrimination, encouraging public speaking, and providing financial assistance for hearing aids.

Living Well with Hearing Loss
Living With Hearing Loss is a blog and online community for people living with hearing loss. Founder Shari Eberts has an adult-onset genetic hearing loss and hopes that by sharing her story, she will help others to live more comfortably with their own hearing issues.

Dr. MIchelle Hu created this space to support, educate, and empower families and caretakers navigating the deaf/hard of hearing journey— because She’s lived it from both sides of the audiology booth.

Organizations

Association of Late Deafened Adults (ALDA)
ALDA traces its roots to a self-help support group for late-deafened adults that was formed in Chicago in 1985. The leader of the group was Kathie Skyer Hering, a late-deafened social services worker. After struggling for about a year the self-help group disbanded.

Boston Guild for the Hard of Hearing
The Boston Guild for the Hard of Hearing was founded in 1916 and was originally called the Speechreader’s Guild. The vision of the Guild at that time was to establish a haven where the problems associated with hearing loss would be understood and addressed.

Deaf INC.
DEAF, Inc. is the only Massachusetts community-based, multi-service nonprofit run by and for Deaf (Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened) adults.

Healthcare with Hearing Loss
Our purpose is to empower every individual who lives with hearing loss to communicate easily, effectively, and safely in all medical settings. We maximize collaborative relationships with patients, providers, administrators, and researchers, working to create impactful outcomes and target projects with the highest potential for results.
Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA)
For 46 years, the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) has been the nation’s leading, unconflicted consumer organization representing millions of people with, and at risk of, hearing loss across the U.S.
We’ve also either been involved with the leadership or worked closely with the following local chapters:

Mass Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH)
The principal agency in the Commonwealth which is tasked with raising awareness of the issues of Deaf and hard of hearing people of all ages and backgrounds.
